The Outreach Quartet

The Outreach Quartet was formed in 1988 when four young men who were students at Maranatha Baptist Bible College began singing together to provide special music for banquets and area church services. Their original repertoire included everything from brass instruments to barbershop songs, but they quickly settled in to singing Christian music in what has become their signature acappella style. The group sang together throughout their college and seminary years, and even today, although they are all serving the Lord as pastors in different regions of the country, they still manage to get together about once a year to give an occasional concert or to record a new album.

Steve Benedict sings bass for the group and is currently serving as associate pastor at Old Dominion Baptist Church in Nokesville, Virginia. (Washington D.C. area).
Brent Burckart sings lead and planted Cornerstone Community Bible Church in Sugar Land, Texas (Houston area) where he now serves as senior pastor.
Jeff Estes is the quartet’s tenor and he recently planted Fellowship Baptist Church in Meridian, Idaho (Boise area).
Peter Wrightsings baritone and arranges most of the music the quartet sings. He is currently serving as minister of youth and music at Faith Baptist Church in Danville, Illinois.
